It was a lovely moment. Where we&#8217;re headed (outside Westcliffe, Colorado) often has Flammulated Owls hooting (more of a &#8220;<em>boop-boop-boop<\/em>&#8220;) to find their mates this time of year.<br \/>\nSometimes we hear them calling back and forth to each other. It&#8217;s enough to make E. O. Wilson grin.
